Air France KLM saw March passenger numbers rise by 3.4% over March last year.
The group, which also includes Transavia, carried 8.3 million passengers, although the load factor slipped marginally by 0.3 percentage points to 87.9%
The March performance gave the leading European airline group a rolling total of 22.7 million passengers, up by 3%.
Air France saw total carryings rise by 5.3% to 4.3 million while KLM saw a 1.2% decline to 2.8 million, with long-haul down by 3.1% to 905,000.
Group passenger numbers to Africa and the Middle East fell by 4% and by 2.8% to the Caribbean and Indian Ocean.
This was offset by an 8.1% rise in traffic to Latin America and 5.4% to North America.
The group has increased capacity by 2% this summer over last year, offering 58 new mainly short-haul routes.
