Author of Just a Boy Richard McCannwill speak at the Advantage Conference in Lucerne, Switzerland in May.
McCann’s book about his life as the son of the first victim of the Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe sold nearly 400,000 copies. The BBC made a film about his life in 2005 which has been screened around the world.
After the death of his mother, McCann left school with no qualifications and later battled with psychological problems and drug addiction. He was made to leave the army and spent time in prison over a drugs offence.
McCann will speak to delegates about how he overcame the odds and achieved success.
The conference will run from May 21-23 in the Swiss Alpine City.
