CATHAY Pacific is offering its top-selling agents in the north of England special fares to Asia to celebrate the 10th anniversary of services from Manchester to Hong Kong.
The airline launched the twice-weekly flights on October 31 1989 and is now the only carrier operating a direct daily Manchester-Hong Kong service.
An airline spokeswoman said the fares – details of which have not been revealed – would be valid on flights to all destinations in Asia served by Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong.
“These will be available to all our best-selling agents in the Manchester area up to the end of November for travel at any time,” added the spokeswoman. Cathay is also hosting a party for travel agents at Manchester Airport tonight, October 4, to mark the start of a campaign to promote its 10-year service.
It will include competitions in the local press, on local radio and in Chinese restaurants, to win free holidays.
