Glasgow airport temporarily suspended all flights in and out of the airport this morning as a security alert was made on board an easyJet flight.
The airport said all operations were suspended for 22 minutes as a result of the incident, declared at 10.25am.
It would not give further detail on the incident, but said the runway re-opened just before 11am after emergency services met the aircraft on arrival.
“It was a standard procedure,” the spokesman added.
Crew on the aircraft, which had just landed from Gatwick, raised the alarm.
There were reports that the incident was believed to have been linked to a suspicious package.
Police Scotland said it was made aware of a security incident by the flight crew.
A force spokeswoman said: “Officers and other emergency services are in attendance.
“All the passengers have disembarked from the plane which is currently being searched by police.”
