Lastminute.com will return to television on Friday March 19 with an advertising campaign highlighting the brand’s preparations for the summer season.
The 60-second spot sees people relishing the arrival of summer across the world and showcases a range of travel and lifestyle experiences such as hot thermal baths in Iceland and bungee jumping in New Zealand.
Ralph Ineson, best known for playing Chris ‘Finchy’ Finch in The Office, provides the voice over to the ad which is designed to continue the brands ‘good stuff’ strategy positioning the site as the best place for consumers to make the most of their free time.
Marketing director Mark Fells said: “The idea behind the ad was to shout about the change of the season and truly declare that winter hibernation is over – we want people to go out there and do more good stuff.
“We are here to turn free time into a great time whether that’s a festival, a weekend in Reykjavik, a cheap flight, a luxurious and relaxing break in Asia or catching a new show in the West End.”
Lastminute.com first returned to television advertising after a four year break in February 2009 with its multi-channel ‘thumbs-up’ Mexican wave spot.
The TV push will be supported by social media, print and outdoor activities.
