The Holiday Place, which traded under the names of Cuba Holidays, has ceased trading.
The CAA posted the news on its website this afternoon.
The London-based operator traded under a number of names according to the CAA, including: The fishing place, The Scuba Place, ubaholidays.co.uk, Dubaiholidays.co.uk, Cuba Holidays, Holiday Place, Ocean Jewels, Holiday USA, Egypt Direct, Dubai Direct, Go Dominican Holidays, Just Caribbean, The Cuba Experience, The Cyprus Experience, The Kenya Experience, The Mexico Experience, and websites theholidayplace.co.uk, thescubaplace.co.uk, holidayplace.co.uk, cubaholidays.co.uk, and dubaiholidays.co.uk.
Major Travel is reportedly offering to help re-book clients.
In a statement on its website, the CAA said: “We are currently collating information from the company and will update this page as soon as possible.
“A specific claim form will be published shortly. Please do not use claim forms from other failures as these cannot be accepted.”
Filing history on Companies House shows turnover dipped in 2018 to £33.8 million from from £36.4 million in 2017, but directors were “optimistic about future trading”.
A strategic report claimed the business had bank and cash balances of £3.4 million.
