World Travel Guide includes new Internet links

LINKS to Internet destination sites and picture and video libraries have been introduced to the new CD-ROM version of the World Travel Guide.

The guide, produced by Columbus Travel Guides, provides researched detailed information on every country in the world. This is the third year it has come out on CD-ROM format but the first time agents have been able to use its hyper-links to relevant Internet sites.

A picture library will enable agents to allow customers to get a visual idea of a destination as will the guide’s 40mins of colour video. A new link through Hotel World will allow agents to link up with 10,000 hotels worldwide, check their itinerary and book on-line.

The new version also has a print function that allows agents to customise the information for a client, including putting the agency’s own brand on the print-out.

Columbus Travel Guides sales and marketing manager overseas Mark Hetem said: “This allows agents to get the information they need even faster and takes the pain out of going through a search engine.”
