Former travel agent Katie Bunting has been appointed by the Intrepid Group as partnership growth manager for south west England and Wales.
She replaces Philippa Baines, who re-joined Explore last month.
Bunting was most recently branch manager of Hays Travel in Weymouth and previously worked for Co-op Travel and First Choice.
Her new role will involve maintaining and improving Intrepid’s trade relationships through training and travel agency visits.
She will report into head of trade sales Andrew Turner and join a team of five partnership growth managers.
Turner said: “Katie’s travel agency background and passion for sustainable travel makes her a fantastic fit for the role. Katie will be an invaluable addition to the team as we enter our next phase of growth with purpose.”
Bunting said: “I look forward to sharing our style of authentic and sustainable travel with agents and expanding their knowledge of responsible travel.”
Intrepid said its sales through the UK trade was up 17% for the year to date on last year.
