Carnival Cruise Line passengers hospitalised after Bahamas bus crash

Five Carnival Cruise Line passengers are being treated in hospital after a bus transporting them crashed on Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas.

The bus was carrying 28 passengers at the time when it rolled onto its side during a shore excursion on the island.

Four passengers were airlifted to a hospital in Fort Lauderdale and a fifth passenger was taken to Nassau in The Bahamas.

All the other passengers were seen at a local medical clinic after the accident on Monday.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the cause of the accident is being investigated.

The 2,056-passenger Carnival Ecstasy is currently on a five-day Bahamas Cruise that departed from Jacksonville, Florida, on June 22.
