Marc Bennett has been appointed as the commercial director of Tui’s sport division in the UK.
Bennett takes up the position this week having quit rival operator Thomas Cook where he was director of commercial and cruise in January.
Before working with Thomas Cook, Bennett worked for the Disney Corporation and was also a professional rugby player.
He said: “It’s a very exciting new position and I am delighted to be working with such a great group of businesses.
“The plan now is to continue the division’s growth in this sector. With the football World Cup in South Africa this summer, the whole world will be thinking about sport.
“We will be reviewing and optimising the operations of our fantastic portfolio of leading sport companies, having all the businesses fully coordinated”.
