Berkeleys to introduce new London hotel-shuttle service

coach company Berkeleys is to launch a service transporting airport passengers to and from their central London hotels following the demise of the Airbus hotel shuttle.

Services will run from Gatwick and Heathrow and serve all London hotels from the Novotel Hammersmith in the west to the Tower Thistle in the east, and from the Marriott Swiss Cottage in the north to Novotel Waterloo in the south.

Former Airbus head of sales and marketing Graham Beacom has joined Berkeleys as sales and marketing director. He said: “It will seem like business as usual to the customer when Berkeleys takes over but, behind the scenes, the company will be able to improve and focus on the service more than Airbus could.”

The Gatwick service will be run in conjunction with Gatwick Express and will cost £18 each way. The Heathrow service will cost £10 each way. Both services will be launched on October 1.
