Olympians Tom Daley and Denise Lewis have partnered with Haven to highlight the new activities at the operator’s holiday parks.
With one year to go until the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the sporting stars have become ambassadors for the official partnership between Haven and Team GB.
Diver Daley jumped from the high platforms at The Drop, one of the latest activities at Haven’s Craig Tara resort in Ayr, while heptathlete Lewis tried the new Crazy Climber.
She said: “It is exciting to think of the sporting path someone might follow after trying something new on holiday, and I can’t wait to see these developments arrive in other parks around the country.”
Haven has spent almost £100 million since last winter developing its new activities which will be trialled at five parks across the UK.
The Drop and Crazy Climber can be found at the Lighthouse Harbour Adventure Village at Craig Tara along with The Extreme Jump – a simulated base jump of 12 metres with a body harness – and the Adrena-Line zip wire.
Elsewhere, the Hafan y Mor park in Pwllheli, Wales, is home to the new Dragon Lakes Adventure Village, while the Seashore Holiday Park in Norfolk features the new Shore Water Park.
