TWgroup has appointed Chloe Berman to the post of deputy head of news with immediate effect.
The role will provide editorial support to head of news Lee Hayhurst for the group’s weekly trade title Travel Weekly and Travolution, the website and quarterly journal for senior executives.
The appointment comes as Travel Weekly prepares to celebrate its 40th birthday this week, a year after it was bought from Reed Business Information by travel industry entrepreneur Clive Jacobs, founder of Holiday Autos.
Lucy Huxley, TWgroup editor, said: “Chloe’s promotion is well deserved and will ensure Travel Weekly continues to deliver the sort of news and content our readers rely on every week.
“These are exciting times at TWgroup and we are looking forward to kicking off our 40th celebrations this week. They say life begins at 40 and that’s certainly how it feels as the group looks forward to an even brighter future.”
Berman joined the TWgroup nearly three years ago having previously worked for Retail News Agent and local newspapers in her native Scotland.
