Airlines face disruption due to a national strike in Italy on Friday.
EasyJet warned that airport ground handling services were among sectors likely to be affected by the nationwide action.
“We’re working to minimise the impact of this strike, but like other airlines flying to and from Italy, we are expecting a number of cancellations and potential delays,” the airline said.
Passengers on affected flights will be contacted via email and text message.
But the budget carrier added that customers will not be entitled to claim for compensation as a result of the industrial action, In accordance with EU261 regulations.
“Although this situation is outside our control, we do understand that it can be a very frustrating situation for all customers travelling,” easyJet added.
