Holidays 4U adds extra Turkey flights following Goldtrail collapse

Turkey specialist tour operator Holidays 4U has added extra capacity after reporting strong bookings from customers of collapsed operator Goldtrail Holidays.

The operator has added four extra flights a week to Bodrum and three a week to Dalaman.

Sales and marketing director Joe Lavers said the operator had been experiencing strong sales since Saturday, the day after Goldtrail failed.

He said: “From talking to agents, the rebookings from clients have been strong, particulary those travelling within the next two weeks. Some of the additional flights we have put on departing in the next two weeks are almost full.

“We do have capacity left however for August, September and October departures,  particulary in some of the regional flying and I suspect after this initial surge in rebookings that things will calm down and the normal lates market will return.”

The flights depart from Birmingham, Gatwick, and Manchester to Bodrum and from Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow to Dalaman from this week until mid September.
