Norfolkline ferry collides with fishing boat

A Norfolk Line ferry has been involved in a collision with a fishing boat off the coast of Scotland.


One of two fishermen was reported missing after their vessel hit the Scottish Viking ferry which operates between Rosyth in Scotland and Zeebrugge, Belgium. The incident occurred off the coast of St Abbs near Eyemouth in Berwickshire.


One of the men was pulled from the water by another fishing boat. Fifteen fishing vessels were at the scene of the accident, five miles off the coast, after the accident happened.


A rescue helicopter and lifeboats also helped with the search. The Marine Accident Investigation Branch will investigate the collision.
