n ITALIANLIFE cuts 12% for early bookers



Italian Life is offering a 12% discount on all holidays booked before December 1999 from its 2000 preview brochure. Product and prices featured in the brochure match those for 1999. The first-edition 2000 brochure is out in mid-December and will include extra destinations due to more low-cost flights.



n Simply tuscany and umbria develops sales



Simply Tuscany and Umbria is expanding its product in the Lazio region, offering more upmarket accommodation. It has also added the Amalfi Coast as a new destination. Its Jewels of the Amalfi Coast package will feature four andfive-star hotelaccommodation only, on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Prices lead in at £510 for three nights, with flights and transfers.



n Kirker holidays boosts short breaks



Kirker Holidays is expanding its Selected Cities and Short Breaks programme for 2000 to include several new hotels in Venice, Rome and Florence. The plush Villa la Massa in the Florentine countryside, whose guests have included Winston Churchill and David Bowie, features in the brochure. Athree-night package starts at £636 until lateNovember, when its prices drop to £567, staying on a bed-and-breakfast basis.



n blair factor aids meon villas growth



Meon Villas has expanded its Tuscany programme after recording a 75% growth in bookings which it partly ascribes to the Tony Blair factor – the primeminister took his familyholiday there this year. The 2000 brochure features eight new properties. Meon has expanded the thirdedition of its 1999 brochure, with a new range of mid-sized properties in Umbria and Lucca.
