WIGHTLINK Holidays is launching budget cycling breaks to the island this autumn for nature-loving clients.
The breaks, featured in the operator’s 2000 brochure due out at the end of October, are based on bed-and-breakfast accommodation.
Clients will be able to tailor-make their itineraries so their accommodation fits in with their cycling schedule.
Prices start from £68 per person including return ferry crossing, two nights’ bed and breakfast and a booklet called Cycle the Wight 2.
Adding bicycle and helmet hire, and delivery and collection of the bike takes the cost to £105.
Wightlink Holidays, the operating arm of the Isle of Wight ferry operator, will also be offering advice on bird-watching and wildlife to clients who are booking.
Operations manager Martyn Briggs said:”We know people with specific interests such as cycling schedule their visits to the Isle of Wight in the quieter months.
“It makes sense to spotlight these types of breaks, especially by flagging up the type of accommodation that appeals to these clients.”
Meanwhile, Wightlink Holidays is offering millennium breaks from £180 per person including return ferry travel and one night’s accommodation.
