Former first Choice Holidays sales director Martin Froggatt has been appointed to the position of managing director of Tui Travel’s north American specialist division.
He will continue to be based in Seattle where he has been president of Tui’s Europe Express, a travel wholesaler selling pre-packaged and bespoke trips to individuals and groups to US customers.
In his new role, which starts on December 1, Froggatt will oversee TCS/Starquest, Zegrahm, Quark International Expeditions, Caradonna and YMT/Travcoa reporting to specialist division chief operating officer Darren Mee.
Tui has also announced it will move to a “regional structure” in its sports division with Marc Bennett, who joined this year from Thomas Cook, becoming managing director EMEA Sport.
He takes responsibility for all the division’s European sport businesses including Thomson Sport, Events International, Gullivers, Sport Abroad, Sportsworld, Travelsense, Mango and Tall Stories.
The changes have prompted a restructuring of the division’s Australia office which will now be headed up by Warren Livingstone.
