Malaysia Airlines has expanded its UK team as it eyes growth across the UK and Europe.
Richard De Villa, who is currently marketing manager for UK and Europe, will be promoted to a newly-created role as head of marketing for the region.
Before joining Malaysia Airlines he spent 10 years at the Department of Tourism for the Philippine’s Embassy to the UK.
Natalie Kromponi returns from maternity leave to become head of UK leisure and direct sales. She will be supported by Cheun Yin Tran who held the role of account manager for leisure sales in Kromponi’s absence.
Kromponi has over 12 years’ aviation experience with roles at Emirates and Malaysia Airlines.
Martyn Bell has joined the carrier in the newly-created account manager for corporate sales role. Bell will grow the corporate, SME and Mice business.
Daniel Bainbridge, Malaysia Airline’s regional manager for the UK, Europe and North America said: “This represents a very exciting time for Malaysia Airlines, as we look to grow the business further in the UK and Europe, and make the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign a great success.

The visit Malaysia 2020 campaign is the destination’s first UK campaign in five years. The campaign has be been launched in partnership with Malaysian Airlines to drive tourism to the country.
