Shorex adds US ports and unveils agent incentive

San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver have been introduced as new destinations by cruise add-ons and shore excursions company Shorex Travel.


The additions bring the company’s coverage of the US to nine destinations. European and UK programmes are due to be launched before the end of the year.


The expansion came as Shorex launched a November trade booking promotion with prizes for agents.


All bookings made during the month will go into a draw to win the first prize of a night for two in London with tickets for the show Blood Brothers; second prize is ten pairs of tickets for the show and third prize is ten pairs of tickets to the backstage experience at the Globe Theatre in London.


Shorex has added to its New York experiences with a designer shopping trip and a gourmet picnic in Central Park. 


Director Doug Mathieson, who formed the company with ex-Cadogan Holidays colleague Tom Allen, said: “We are delighted to have added these destinations which is part of our ongoing expansion plan.


“At the same time we will continue to find and add unusual and unique experiences in all our destinations.” Shorex has also moved into new offices at Colechurch House, 1 London Bridge Walk, London SE1 2SX.
