ITC marks 25th anniversary with portfolio rebranding

UPMARKET operator International Travel Connections has launched its 1999/2000 portfolio under its new name, Classic Connection.

It has rebranded its Africa and Indian Ocean brochures, which are on sale now, with a new Australia and New Zealand following in October.

But the operator is retaining its flagship Caribbean Connection brand, which has also been released.

Managing director Michael Edwards said the 25th anniversary of the operation was the right time to change its name.

“We have carefully revised, expanded and improved upon each programme and believe our new name epitomises our key values – quality, style and comfort,” said Edwards.

In its Caribbean programme, the Grenadine resorts of Palm Island, Carenage Bay and Beach Resort are new, along with three resorts in Antigua – Jumba Bay, Cuisinart Resort and Spa and Sonesta Beach Resort.

In Africa, a number of lodges have been added as the company looks to build on its 54% increase in business during 1999. Exact figures were not available.

New for the Indian Ocean programme are Beau Ribage in Mauritius and the Lemuria Resort in the Seychelles. It has also added two hotels in Dubai – the Arabia Towers and the Royal Mirage. All brochures have been redesigned with separate price guides and an emphasis on photography.
