An air link between Wales and the north of Scotland is being introduced in the new year.
Eastern Airways is to start flights between Cardiff and Aberdeen from January 4.
The service will run on weekdays and Sundays via Newcastle.
The regional carrier said the flights will “significantly reduce” journey times compared to other air, road or rail options.
Weekday flights will depart Cardiff at 07.30 and arrive in Aberdeen at 10.25, while flights will leave Aberdeen at 16.05, arriving in Cardiff at 18.40.
Sunday services take off from Cardiff at 19.05, arriving in Aberdeen at 21.20. From Aberdeen, flights leave at 16.25 and arrive in Cardiff at 18.40.
The airline’s ground operations manager Roger Hage said: “Aberdeen is Europe’s energy capital and our link from South Wales to North East Scotland will be of significant benefit to offshore workers.
“From New Year we’ll be offering the fastest transport link to Aberdeen from Cardiff, which will save business and leisure travellers valuable time and strengthen business connections.”
