Retired travel agent Andrew Dickson secured flights to the Middle East as the top prize in a charity raffle in his home town of Bolton.
The former owner of St Andrews Travel Group was approached by the mayor of Bolton Hilary Fairclough to help raise funds for six charities.
Dickson turned to fellow Bolton resident, Oman Air district sales manager Feysal Nagi, who donated a pair of return tickets from Manchester airport.
He also managed to add to the prize thanks to Millennium Hotels & Resorts with three nights at the Millennium Mussanah Resort near Muscat.
Nagi said: “We are more than happy to support the mayor of Bolton’s fundraising event and to donate a pair of return tickets Manchester-Muscat-Manchester.
“This will help highlight our new daily service from Manchester to Muscat and around the world onwards.”
