FOLLOWING the story in last week’s issue of Travel Weekly on the launch of our new on-line travel service, I wanted to add the following comments to clarify our strategy for on-line booking.
Thomas Cook is committed to providing customers with maximum flexibility when researching and booking their holidays.
At the same time that we listened to the customers who prefer to book their holiday over the telephone, we were also listening to the 40% of potential customers who wanted to book on-line and the needs of these customers will be satisfied early in the new year as we introduce on-line booking.
Thomas Cook has always planned to offer on-line booking in addition to the call-back function and, far from ditching anything, we remain committed to delivering on these promises!
