Advantage Travel Centres has struck a new commercial agreement with independent operator Classic Collection Holidays.
The deal is designed to forge a closer working relationship between the operator and agency members of the consortium.
Advantage leisure director Julia Lo Bue-Said said: “Our members are already familiar with Classic Collection but this agreement means we will be working more closely together in developing our sales further.
“Classic Collection will now also be able to take part in the Advantage Conference, member dinners and events.”
The operator’s head of marketing Vanda Bauer said: “It’s an exciting step for us to be working with a consortium.
“When Nick Munday, our managing director, purchased Classic Collection Holidays in April 2002, we were a small tour operation with a dozen employees featuring just four destinations.
“Over the past eight years, through our close relationships with independent travel agents, we have enjoyed fantastic growth and now feature more than 30 luxury destinations within Europe and North Africa.
“As a still fiercely independent tour operator which relies on independent agents for 90% of its business, it feels the right time to be cementing a formal agreement with leading industry consortium Advantage, whose primary role is to support, and increase the prosperity of, independent agents.”
