About 30 passengers were reported to have suffered minor injuries following the storm in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) as the ship approached the port of Alexandria in Egypt

Some damage to public areas was reported as Brilliance of the Seas was undertaking a 12-night cruise from Barcelona.

The Egyptian port was shut due to bad weather and the ship was diverted to Valletta in Malta. Royal Caribbean said the ship has full power and was sailing as normal.
