A management restructure at travel technology firm Traveltek has seen the departure of sales director Frank Docherty.
As part of the shake-up business development director Peter Whittle has been appointed to head up the sales team along with Chris Oakes, head of global accounts.
Docherty, who has been with Traveltek for five years, has left the company with immediate effect.
Kenny Picken, managing director, said: “Traveltek is heading for another record year in growth and profitability in what we know are some of the toughest trading conditions we have seen for decades.
“This can only happen if you have a team of dedicated professionals all working hard together to ensure the company goes from strength to strength.
“Unfortunately some aspects of the business were underperforming where others were out performing and as you would expect from any business changes had to be made to address the balance.
“Peter Whittle has outperformed all targets set by the company and with his vast experience at a senior level and is therefore a natural choice to head up the team.”
The restructure comes after a period of intense recruitment by Traveltek in both sales, marketing and account management.
