Teams of agents from Carrick Travel, Warwickshire; Colchester Travel, Essex; Haslemere Travel, Surrey; and Journeys a la Carte, Staffordshire, will be taking the stage at the AITO Agents’ event at the Barcelo Walton Hall & Hotel in Warwickshire on January 15-16.

Along with a trophy, the winners will pick up a prize including four places on a fam trip to Tunisia and £600 worth of high street shopping vouchers from the Tunisian National Tourist Office.

The semi-finalists were announced following a first round, sponsored by Online Travel Training, in which team captains answered a range of travel questions online.

The teams competing in the semi-finals are:

*Colchester Travel – Lorna Tissier, Diane Price, Jane Wakerley, Frankie Khodaverdi
*Haslemere Travel – Susie Atkinson, Terry Adams, Jackie McClean, Tina Ridgway

AITO Specialist Travel Agents’ chairman Oliver Broad said: “AITO Specialist Travel Agents have some of the sharpest travel brains in the business so we’re expecting the competition in the semi-finals and final to be fierce.

“Derek Moore, chairman of the AITO operator group and with great wisdom in all things travel himself, will be taking on the quizmaster role of Jeremy Paxman and keeping the contestants in line.”
