Property developers have expressed an interest in camp Pontin’s, which fell into administration in November after a slowdown in bookings.
All five Pontin’s sites – Brean Sands in Somerset, Camber Sands in Sussex, Pakefield in Suffolk, Prestatyn Sands in Wales and Southport in Merseyside – have remained while a buyer was sought.
According to reports, adminstrator KPMG had just three firm offers ahead of the deadline on Saturday. It is thought the offers are from property developers looking to build housing on the sites.
An offer has failed to materialise from Bhanu Choudhrie, an Indian-born millionaire investor who declared last month that he wanted to buy Pontin’s and had ambitious plans for expansion.
A spokesman for KPMG said they would be reviewing the offers today.
