TEN-branch agency Top Travel International has failed, the sixth independent travel agency to go under since August.
The Stafford-based company went into receivership on September 21.
ABTAhas called in its bond and is treating it as a financial failure.
The company had offices in Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Rugeley, Cannock, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, Brownhills in Walsall, Penkridge in Stafford, Sandbach and Lichfield.
Earlier this month, ABTAchief executive Ian Reynolds predicted a spate of independent agent collapses this autumn following a dire summer’s trading (Travel Weekly September 13).
