Royal Caribbean promotes Sean Treacy and Ben Bouldin

Royal Caribbean International has promoted two senior executives as its parent company continues a major restructure.

Sean Treacy is to become senior vice president of international, moving from the role of vice president of Latin America and international strategy.

He will be responsible for the cruise line’s business across the Asia Pacific region, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Ben Bouldin becomes vice president, EMEA, switching from associate vice president and managing director, UK & Ireland, a role he has had since December 2016.

Bouldin will be one of four senior figures to report into Treacy.

The others are Gavin Smith, vice president and managing director, Australia and New Zealand; Angela Stephen, associate vice president and managing director, Singapore and south-east Asia, and Alberto Muñoz Quiros, associate vice president, Latin America and Caribbean.

Treacy said: “I’m thrilled to take on this new role and continue building a platform for growth for the Royal Caribbean International brand across the markets.

“Royal Caribbean is the greatest cruise line in the world offering the best ships, entertainment and destinations and I can’t wait to work with this this world class global team to showcase our offerings to vacationers across the globe.”

Treacy comes to this role with over 20 years of sales and strategy experience in the travel industry,  including 15 years at Royal Caribbean.

Within the company, Treacy has served in various roles within the company including managing director of Asia Pacific, overseeing revenue, deployment, sales, marketing and PR.

Most recently, he served as vice president of Latin America and international strategy where under his leadership, Mexico experienced a record year of top sales in 2019.

Before joining Royal Caribbean, Treacy worked for United Airlines where he held several roles in sales and revenue management.
