Location: Las Palmeres is a three-bedroomed traditional villa situated in the countryside between Pollenca and Port de Pollenca.
Indoors: It is a traditional home, so the emphasis is on rustic charm rather than mod-cons, and only two of the three bedrooms have air-con. The decor is occasionally slightly odd – framed jigsaws of dogs spring to mind – but by and large Las Palmeres is well equipped.
Outdoors: A lovely kidney-shaped pool and covered barbecue and dining area are set slightly away from the house, which is great if you have young children and want to keep them in one place or another. And the high foliage means you feel completely isolated despite the sister property next door.
We loved: A bumper welcome pack chock-full of local wines and food was spot on. This was the first Mediterranean villa holiday for both the grandparents and their granddaughter, and the charm and character of the property, along with the beautifully kept grounds and abundant lizards, meant all were suitably impressed.
Who would it suit? A family with children or a group of friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
Book it: Villa Select’s lead-in price for the rental, based on April departures, is £990 per week. This includes pool towels for use at the villa, complimentary welcome pack for early bookers, and an in-resort representation service. villaselect.com, 01789 764909
