ABTA has abandoned plans to bring in outside consultants to review its internal workings.
It will now wait to see how its proposed restructure, which includes the scrapping of its Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Councils, works before bringing in anyone from outside.
ABTA will shortly be sending ballot papers to members to vote on the new structure. The association requires 75% of the vote to carry the proposals. A result is expected on November 4.
