Jet2.com has cancelled all flights to Tunisia for this summer due to the ongoing political unrest.
The airline has scrapped its routes from Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, Manchester and Glasgow to the country.
A Jet2.com spokesman said: “The safety of our customers is our number one priority and we also don’t want them to face the stressful uncertainty over whether their holiday will go ahead as planned.”
Most tour operators have cancelled flights for this week, after more than 3,000 mainly British package holidaymakers were flown home over the weekend on emergency flights amid violent riots and killings. More than 1,000 British holidaymakers are estimated to remain in the country.
However, other tour operators including Thomas Cook and Tui are applying the usual booking conditions to holidays after that.
The FCO’s latest advice is against “all but essential travel” to the country.
“We advise British nationals to leave Tunisia unless they have a pressing need to remain,” the FCO said.
“There have been demonstrations, some violent, in multiple locations across the country, including Tunis, Sousse, Sfax, Nabul, Hammamet, Douze, Kasserine, Requeb and Thia.
