Advantage Travel Partnership has announced a shake-up of its leisure team to better support members.
The travel agency consortium has promoted commercial account manager Kerri Thorpe to senior partnerships manager and plans to bolster its team further by increasing the number of leisure business development managers on the road and recruiting a partnership and cruise manager.
The consortium is adding four BDMs to its existing team. Two BDMS are still being sought.
The consortium said an enhanced leisure team will allow it to work with more suppliers and continue to deliver “best in class” commercial agreements.
Having more BDMs will also allow it to concentrate on maximising the benefits for existing agent members and better service membership enquiries, said leisure director Kelly Cookes.
Cookes, who began in the new role at Advantage in October last year, said: ‘’I am pleased we have some exciting developments in the leisure arena here at Advantage. I believe it is vital that we have the right roles in place in order to support our members and deliver on our vision.
“I would like to say congratulations to Kerri. I am confident in the strength of our partnerships team, led by John Sullivan, so we can continue to deliver best-in-class commercials across the industry.”
