British Airways is relaunching its On Business free loyalty programme for small and medium sized businesses. The airline is providing advertising for a selected group of SMEs to help them reach more customers.
Newgate Clocks in Shropshire is the first business to benefit from free national newspaper advertising in the Daily Mail and Independent to kick off the new campaign.
As well as newspaper adverts, free ads for SMEs are also appearing online, at ba.com/onbusiness and in emails from the carrier. Further emails will be sent out across Europe and Asia Pacific in February as BA is also giving publicity to SMEs in other countries.
A newly designed website has also gone live on www.ba.com/onbusiness, following research carried out last year. This gives SMEs access to their On Business account, destination guides and tools for travel.
BA head of loyalty Ian Romanis said: “British Airways understands that the needs of SMEs often differ from those of larger companies and that they sometimes struggle to gain the benefits that many big businesses are offered in their industry due to their size.
“Thanks to On Business they can earn points on all qualifying British Airways flights that can then be redeemed for future flights, upgrades and hotel accommodation.
“We’re pleased to be able to give some of our SME customers the opportunity to advertise to a broader audience and in turn to drive more revenue and grow.”
BA claims On Business members saved more than £13 million on flights alone I the year ending March 31, 2010.
