Crystal Ski is to treble the size of its early-booking Ski Plus product for the 2011-12 season on the back of “phenomenal sales”.
Ski Plus offers flights, transfers, accommodation, lift passes and ski hire in one package.
Tui Specialist Holidays Group managing director Mathew Prior said the company’s position as market leader gave it real buying power to offer these elements in the top resorts for affordable rates.
“You can ski in some of the top resorts for as little as £395. No one else can get close to those rates – and the great thing is that it means agents can earn commission on the lift pass and ski hire elements as they are all built into the package, which they can’t normally,” he said.
“We’re offering it to most of our resorts this year but it’s been so successful that we’ll be increasing it threefold for next season. It’s good for agents who aren’t very confident about selling ski as it’s all in one transaction and they are earning more commission.”
The Crystal Summer programme for 2012 will also be expanded. Canada and Croatia were added for this summer and sales are already 20% up this year. Smaller Greek islands and less-well-known parts of Spain will be brought in for 2012.
Prior said: “There will be more beach product with off-the-beaten-track destinations in the core Mediterranean countries, but it will be holidays that are different from mainstream summer sun.”
