Air India’s first foreign chief operating officer Gustav Baldauf has resigned after less than a year in the job. The Austrian national has stood down following a clash with the Indian government over the state owned carrier.
“When you call someone from outside, let him work. The government should control but let him work. It should not be involved in day-to-day operations”, Baldauf was quoted as saying. His 25 years in the aviation industry include senior positions with Austrian Airlines and Jet Airways.
