Bookings through independent trade-only accommodation supplier Getabed.co.uk are claimed to be up by more than a third over this time last year.
Growth is coming from interest in secondary US cities such as Seattle and Chicago, the first and second fastest growing destinations respectively.
Spain is also driving growth with Fuerteventura, Costa Brava, Tenerife, Madrid and Ibiza all seeing treble-digit growth year-on-year. The three top-selling destinations are New York, Las Vegas and London.
Overall bookings are up 39% year on year, with average transaction values up almost 14%, according to managing director Matt Stuart.
“Historically we have always been strongest in the long-haul arena and also US cities, so to see the growth coming in from more mainstream European resorts and cities too is great for diversifying our business and showing agents that we have a full, worldwide portfolio on offer,” he said.
