Work has started on the build of the fifth and final ship in Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice class vessel.
The 3,030-passenger Celebrity Reflection is due to enter service in the autumn of 2012 as a sister ship to Celebrity Silhouette, which is launched in July.
Celebrity Reflection will feature new onboard venues to be introduced on Celebrity Silhouette including an outdoor grill, wi-fi equipped cabanas and The Hideaway, describe as an intimate space “reminiscent of a childhood tree house”.
AquaClass suites will be introduced alongside regular spa cabins. Celebrity president and chief executive Dan Hanrahan activated the first cut of steel for the ship at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
