Dubai repeats Kids Go Free offer for summer 2011

Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing is repeating its Kids Go Free promotion in 2011 to encourage more families to visit the destination.

The offer is available from May 14 to September 30, 2011, through tour operators including Travel 2 and Thomas Cook.

It allows two children under 12 years old to stay and eat for free in more than 45 properties when accompanied by two paying adults. Participating hotels include Jumeirah Beach Hotel; Atlantis, The Palm; and One&Only Royal Mirage.

The promotion includes free children’s transport on Dubai Metro, free excursions such as Big Bus Tours, and a discount voucher booklet for The Dubai Mall. There is free entry for the whole family to heritage sites including Sheikh Saeed’s House and the Heritage and Diving Village.

There is also a 50% discount for children’s flights with Emirates and free entry for up to two children at attractions in Dubai including:

  • Wild Wadi water park
  • SEGA Republic
  • The Aquarium and ice rink in The Dubai Mall
  • Ski Dubai at Mall of the Emirates
  • iFLY and Soccer Circus at Mirdiff City Centre
  • Aquaventure & Lost Chambers at Atlantlis, The Palm

The DTCM hopes the promotion will attract even more families than a similar offer last year. Ian Scott, director UK and Ireland, said: “The objective here is to encourage more families to come and discover all this for themselves, to appreciate Dubai’s affordable luxury, and then they will no doubt return.

“This promotion is a stronger proposition than the one we ran very successfully in 2010 and so we have very high expectations from the UK market.”
