Princess Cruises has temporarily revised its final payment dates and cancellation policies for cruises departing up to October 15.
The updated ‘Cruise with Confidence’ policies have been introduced to offer “more flexibility and peace of mind” to customers during the evolving global coronavirus crisis.
The move comes almost a week after Princess Cruises extended the suspension of all cruises until June 30.
Passengers due on a cruise in July can now cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure.
Those set to depart between August 1 and October 15 can cancel up to 30 days prior to departure.
They will receive refunds and a future cruise credit to the value of any cancellation fees.
Final balance payment dates have been reduced from 90 days to 60 days prior to sailing for all cruises departing up to October 15.
Passengers who have booked air travel through the ‘Princess Plane Sailing’ scheme will have any non-refundable flight cancellation fees added to their future cruise credit. Any remaining balance will be returned to the original payment method.
They will also receive a full refund of any pre-paid items, such as drinks packages, shore excursions and Wi-Fi.
The updated policies apply to all new and existing bookings, according to the line.
