Former Thomas Cook Group chief financial officer Ludger Heuberg has joined Holidaybreak as a non-executive director.
He will also chair the education and activity group’s audit committee and be a member of the remuneration committee.
Heuberg is currently group chief financial officer of H.C. Starck Group and is also a member of the advisory board of Commerzbank.
He previously spent six years with Thomas Cook Group including the role of group chief financial officer.
Heuberg was also CFO and HR director on the management board of Thomas Cook AG from 2004 to 2010.

“He brings with him extensive experience in international businesses.
“His insight into continental Europe will be invaluable as we progress the expansion of our education division following the recent acquisition of the 50% stake in the German-based school tour accommodation group, Meininger.”
