MSC Cruises is offering agents an extra 5% commission on its Southampton departures this summer.
Following Complete Cruise Solutions’ move to cut commission to 5%, an MSC Cruises spokeswoman said the Italian cruiseline was keen to show its support for the trade.
MSC Opera will sail from Southampton with three different itineraries for the first time this year. Passengers can choose from two departures to the Baltic Capitals in May, five departures to the Norwegian Fjords in June or July, or eight Mediterranean sailings in July, August and September.
All bookings made in April and May qualify for the extra commission.
The cruiseline is also giving agents who book 10 Yacht Club suites in a year a free cruise for themselves. The Yacht Club is a five star area within MSC Fantasia and Splendida with its own restaurant, swimming pool and butler service.
MSC Divina, a sister ship to Spendida and Fantasia, will launch on May 27 2012. The ship will have 100 more cabins than its sister vessels, including a number of spa suites for wellness breaks.
