Holiday sales are up by 21.9% as people take advantage of the extended Easter break due to next weekend’s Royal Wedding, according to Tui UK & Ireland.
Best sellers this Easter include the Costa Brava, Ibiza, Menorca and Cape Verde as the Thomson and First Choice parent company flies more than 89,000 holidaymakers away this weekend from 22 UK airports.
Communications director Christian Cull said: “The number of bank holidays coming together this year is unprecedented and people are certainly making the most of it. While the weather is currently great here, we know there are no guarantees when it comes to the UK sun .”
Thomson is offering late deals leading in at £249 per person half-board, representing a discount of £296. This is based on two sharing at the Hotel PortAventura on the Costa Dorada departing on April 30 from Manchester including theme park access.
