The Guild of Travel Management Companies has unveiled the line-up for its annual overseas conference taking place in Abu Dhabi from May 13-15.
From within the business travel sector, Association of Corporate Travel Executives Chris Crowley will be one of the keynote speakers with PricewaterhouseCoopers senior travel sector analyst David Trunkfield, Etihad Airways chief executive officer James Hogan and Travelport global head of operations and supplier relations, Brian Conway.
From outside the industry, Yves Galimidi, global travel purchaser for Ikea, will be addressing the conference and taking part in panel discussions.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Future Insights’ with topics including: the future role and business models of TMCs; the impact of technology on business travellers, TMCs and suppliers; GTMC lobbying in the new political landscape, future trends in regulatory and taxation and a series of panel discussions around content, rail and aviation.
The GTMC’s 20/Twenty Group, TMC managers of tomorrow, will deliver a presentation on their insights on future technology and buying behaviours of business travellers.
