Princess Cruises’ Grand Princess is preparing to return to service with summer sailings from Southampton after a 24-day revamp.
The vessel’s Skywakers nightclub has been removed and a new Piazza atrium created including a range of new dining outlets including a pizzeria, grill and speciality tea lounge.
A Martini bar has been added as well as a new nightclub.
Seven suites have been renovated together with the casino, shops, art gallery, spa, and wedding chapel.
The 3,100-passenger ship returns to service from the UK on May 21 with itineraries ranging from a three-day weekender aimed at first time cruisers through to two 17-night sailings to the central Mediterranean.
Princess UK head of brand marketing Pieter Van der Schee said: “This drydock has been a monumental effort, and we’re very proud to be welcoming the ship into Southampton.
“We know that Grand Princess is a firm favourite with our British passengers and we are sure that they will appreciate being amongst the first to see the new look Grand Princess.”
