Gray Dawes appoints new chief

Independent travel management company Gray Dawes has recruited Suzanne Cockburn from Egencia as chief executive.

The former account management and implementation director for Expedia’s corporate travel arm will be based at the company’s head office in Colchester, Essex. Cockburn replaces former British Airways director David Noyes who left after three years to join Carnival UK last month as operations executive vice president.

Cockburn was responsible at Egencia for account management, new business development and supplier relations and was instrumental in the development of the company’s strategic plan.

Gray Dawes’ chairman Peter Inchcape said: “With her extensive experience I am confident that Suzanne will build on the company’s success to date and take the business from strength to strength.”
