BRITISHMidland is aiming to build up stronger links with the trade after signing a two-year partnership deal with the Guild of Business Travel Agents.
The agreement means that the airline, the GBTA’s only European partner, continues to sponsor the guild’s City and Guilds training course.
British Midland chief operating officer James Hogan said it was important the carrier strengthened its support with the trade before launching transatlantic flights.
Meanwhile, British Midland launches a promotion today which gives consultants the chance to win a Volkswagen Beetle and a place at a trade ball on November 20. Consultants have to book five return flights before October 31 to qualify.
